Winterizing

Winterizing tennis courts

  • Remove privacy screens from the fences to prevent storm damage.
  • Remove nets, benches, referee chairs, brooms, etc. from the courts.
  • Cover the line strips with wooden slats or stones to prevent them from lifting, or at least cover the line ends.
  • Marking worn or torn line tapes that need to be replaced.
  • After heavy rain, check playing fields for depressions and mark them on a sketch if necessary; alternatively, these depressions can be leveled with brick dust before winter so that these areas harden faster in spring.
  • Grease and loosen the moving parts of the net posts.

Winterizing the irrigation system

  • Drain the irrigation and drainage system pipelines to prevent freezing and other damage to sprinklers and solenoid valves.
  • Cleaning the sprinkler heads
  • System check of sprinklers, solenoid valves and controls
